For instance, if five enemies each suffer a 10% decrease in accuracy and dodge rate, Demens only enjoys a 10% increase). Ignores resist, repel, null, and drain (costs 18-22% HP)

Biography:
“An albino insomniac, the Dark Hour’s latest enigma…”
Thanks to a rare form of insomnia that Demens was diagnosed with as a child, his lifespan is greatly decreased for every hour of sleep he is deprived of. This circumstance seems to be the core reason for his obsession with time and deranged moral. In order to sleep, he must inject medicine into his system, and even then he’ll get three hours of sleep, tops. Upon discovering that the Dark Hour not only halts the decrease in his lifespan, but potentially increases it, he has taken a leaf out of Strega’s book, insomuch that he will protect the Dark Hour. His other goals, as of yet, are unknown, even to himself.

While calm on the outside, he is surprisingly brutal in battle, taking enjoyment overpowering his opponents. It seems as though his conditioned hasn’t affected his physical prowess. Interestingly enough, he doesn’t suffer from hallucinations or mind afflictions, as he “is mad enough already...”

Also, Demens carries with him a special pocket watch at all times. Instead of a normal clock, which has twelve numbers, his pocket watch has thirteen numbers. The watch only works starting at noon and stops working at midnight, with the hands starting and ending at one. This is incredibly handy as it not only tells how long until the Dark Hour, but how much time is left in the Dark Hour as well. The origins of this watch and how he obtained it are unknown, though he now theorizes its parts might have originated from the Abyss of Time.

On one particular night, Demens, by chance, came across a mysterious door. Upon further exploration, he discovered its true nature: a doorway to the Abyss of Time. Once he deduced the veracity of his discovery, he made slight modifications to his goals, forming a team to help his secret dream come true…

He has his team’s insiginia (sonicedge7.deviantart.com/art/…) tattooed across his back, starting from below the base of his neck down to above his waist.

Symbolism:
- In the same way that the Death arcana represents regeneration and cycles, so too does Tempus embody the cycle of a clock, ticking down the minutes until the inevitable.
- As a ticking clock, Tempus specializes in inflicting the affects of time onto enemies (fatigue and death).
- Also, being a massive clock, Tempus acts almost like a living shield, offering a degree of protection against Physical attacks.
- Tempus’ two faces represents Demens’ appearance and personality. The blank face represents his calm, unreadable nature while the madly smiling face represents Demens’ underlying madness.
- Tempus is also a large massive version of the special pocket watch Demens carries.
- It is theorized that the hourglass represents Demens remaining life span, as the sand has the tendency to rise whenever Demens is healed and rapidly fall whenever he is damaged during the dark hour. This however, according to Demens, postpones the inevitable, as the sands continue to fall outside of the Dark Hour, and when all the sand collects at the bottom, he will die.
